OUR BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY IN DEVON

Hi fellow bloggers
I'm following on from my last blog I must try to catch up with missing one full year of bloglessness! Yes we gathered our cossies Kev and I (that sounds very regal dosen't it)and made our way to the Devon coast Bideford, to be exact, Jess came too our border collie she's a brill traveller if she had her way she would be driving . We stayed in a chocolate box cottage in the middle of nowhere but that was good no mobiles, no tabloids, no stress what more could you want!!!
The first port of call was Hartland point this is a place that makes your hair stand on end the sea does this to me the ruggedness of the landscape is like nothing I've seen before.See the photo this does not do it justice.

Can I ask you a question why are most town councils deciding in their wisdom that festivals, gala parades have to be cancelled because of stupid red tape compensation culture,I live in Filey and for the first time ever ours were stopped this year due to some fat cat behind a desk saying someone might fall off one of the floats and anyone walking at the side with a charity tin thats a nono too the list is endless we the filey people have no say at all. My point being we went to a fabulous festival in Bideford has my photo shows, everyone was having a brill time this went on for a full week all in surrounding towns. Bands, fairs, majorettes, people dressed in all manor of attire a good time was had by all without one mishap I rest my case.

Alien abduction in Filey

"CAPTAIN COOKS MONUMENT" Whitby

Greetings fellow bloggers, no I haven't been abducted by little green men, but it is a year since I last put fingers to keys (did get your attention though)!

Well let me think whats been happening on the eastern front.

Start with Christmas 2005 we decided to get away booked ourselves in a lovely luxury caravan in Robin Hoods Bay it just happened to be the coldest snowiest white Christmas for a long
while .Arrived xmas eve with everything but the kitchen sink then realised I had forgotten the Turkey gobble gobble, made a quick journey back home 24 mile to be exact to find a very sad looking bird and an even lonlier looking bottle of bacardi , no the bird hadn't been guzzling the drink.

Had our Christmas dinner on THE day I lit a little candle ( I know what a stupid thing to do ) and it set fire to the curtains Kevvy my fireman sam put the flames out, Jess our doggy was barking and coughing the alarm was blaring loud and clear for all the site to hear GOD I will remember that day .The bill came to a whopping £425.96 robbed us blind they did.We put a brave face on and enjoyed the lovely winterland see pics!!
